FBE Coating Equipment For Reinforcing Steel
Fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coatings are used to protect pipeline surfaces from corrosion. An additional FBE coating can be wrapped with adhesive PE tape to form a 3PE coating to improve the mechanical protection of the FBE coating.
Electrostatic epoxy powders are usually sprayed onto the pipe at temperatures of around 180 - 230°C. The epoxy powder is applied to the pipe by heating the steel. The epoxy powder melts and forms a uniform epoxy coating on the pipe when heated on the surface of the pipe.
